The recently concluded Carpentry NC II training under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) marked a significant achievement, with 25 students successfully completing their training at Itogon, Benguet. The program, which ran from August 6 to September 21, 2024, was designed to equip the students with essential carpentry skills, preparing them for both local and national opportunities in the construction industry.

The students underwent rigorous hands-on training under the guidance of the Provincial Training Center Benguet trainer, Mr. Arnel Ingosan. They also worked on practical projects that directly benefited the community, including the creation of cabinets and furniture for the municipal office, showcasing their craftsmanship and the skills acquired throughout the training.

While the scholars have completed the training program, they are now awaiting their final assessment to fully claim their National Certificate II (NC II) on Carpentry. Once they successfully pass the assessment, they will be officially certified.
