Scholars from the Diploma programs of TESDA-Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) participated in a four-day Enrichment Program conducted by the CSITE-Main Campus Student Services Unit from February 18 to 21, 2025. This program aimed to enhance the well-being, leadership skills, and mental health awareness of the scholars during their gap period.

During the first day, CSITE Executive Director Daisy C. Bungallon emphasized the program’s importance in providing scholars with opportunities for growth and development. She stressed the need for scholars to remain engaged in productive learning rather than succumbing to idleness or negative influences. Furthermore, she highlighted the Institution’s commitment to motivating and preparing scholars for their academic journey.

The program featured a series of impactful training sessions. Romeo G. Mongalini led a session on “Servant Leadership,” which focused on self-leadership and service-oriented values. Romar D. Agpes facilitated a workshop on “Leading Myself: Serving Others,” emphasizing autonomy and responsibility. Loracris A. Jadormio conducted a session on “English for Academic Purposes” to strengthen the scholars’ communication skills. Additionally, Allan Muscara provided Essential Basic Life Support (BLS) training, equipping scholars with emergency response skills. The Philippine Mental Health Association – Baguio Benguet Chapter guided the scholars on emotional resilience and self-care. To conclude the program, Milford Umayat led a session on “Building Long-Lasting Relationships and Responsible Parenthood,” offering insights into reproductive health and family planning.

The activity focused on five key areas essential for personal and professional growth: mental health literacy, leadership development, fostering healthy relationships, responsible parenthood, and life-saving emergency response skills. Although some scholars were busy with their work, those who were available actively participated, making the program a valuable opportunity for continuous learning and self-improvement.

CSITE is committed to shaping scholars into responsible and capable individuals by reinforcing discipline, growth, and lifelong learning. Through initiatives like this, the Institution ensures that scholars are prepared for their academic journeys and equipped with essential life skills for their future careers and personal development.
