On October 2, 2024, the TESDA Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) Main Campus celebrated National/World Teachers’ Day with a culminating event at the Newtown Plaza Hotel, paying tribute to the dedication, commitment, and efforts of its educators.
The opening remarks was delivered by Vilma Toralba on behalf of TESDA-CSITE Administrator Felixberto B. Matute Jr. In his message, Matute emphasized the importance of all teachers’ commitment to helping each student develop into a future pillar of strength. He also recognized the passion and hard work that teachers bring into the lives of their students.
TESDA-CSITE Executive Director Daisy C. Bungallon gave a motivational speech, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration across campuses. “CSITE as One,” she said. Likewise, she thanked teachers for their selfless dedication and described teaching as the profession that gives rise to all others.
Bungallon was joined by TESDA trainers, who shared their insights on life skills and resilience.
In recognition of their efforts, tokens of appreciation were presented to the administrative and training staff. An audiovisual presentation honoring the educators was also presented during the program.
During the final remarks, Hassey Beth C. Torres emphasized the extensive work teachers do beyond the classroom.
The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to the educators who play an integral role in shaping not only academic knowledge but also the character and lives of their students.
