The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (TESDA-CSITE) Kalinga Campus conducted a clean-up drive against dengue on November 8, 2024, with the participation of the CSITE staff, trainers, and Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II trainees. The activity aims to reduce mosquito breeding sites and raise awareness about dengue fever prevention.

Participants worked tirelessly to clear stagnant water, dispose of garbage, and clean up areas prone to mosquito infestation. Their active participation helped create a safer and healthier environment for the campus. The success of the clean-up drive was a testament to the power of teamwork and collaboration among TESDA CSITE-Kalinga employees, including their trainees’ efforts to fight against dengue.

The activity is important to prevent illnesses and maintain a healthy environment for trainees and staff. When neglected, cleanliness creates a breeding ground for germs and bacteria, increasing the likelihood of spreading illnesses like the common cold, flu, and other contagious diseases. By coming together as a community to tackle cleaning tasks, they can ensure that these spaces are properly sanitized and safe for everyone. Collaboration in cleaning efforts also fosters a sense of responsibility and accountability among members of the training center, promoting a shared commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for all.
