On November 13, 2024, the Provincial Training Center of Benguet (PTC Benguet) held its closing program for the Masonry NC I under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Barangay Tuding, Itogon.

Itogon CTEC Coordinator Sharon W. Baroa opened the event, emphasizing the significant impact of PTC Benguet’s skills training programs in the Itogon community. PTC Benguet Center Administrator Ferdinand B. Montañez congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to apply their newly acquired skills for the development of their community. The program concluded with the distribution of trainees’ Training Support Fund/allowances and Training Certificates, celebrating the participants’ hard work and dedication.

In addition, a Training Induction Program (TIP) for the Masonry NC II under the STEP Scholarship was conducted. Krisyl R. Quiriones, TESD II of PTC Benguet, presented an overview of TESDA services and outlined the training guidelines. TESDA-Accredited trainer Agustin L. Adchakang highlighted the importance of masonry skills in the workforce and the value of such expertise in the construction industry.

PTC Benguet looks forward to seeing the positive contributions of these graduates and incoming trainees as they bring their skills into the workforce, helping to build a brighter future for Itogon.
