On October 16, 2025, the TESDA Provincial Training Center โ Benguet (PTC Benguet), together with the TESDA Provincial Office Benguet (TESDA PO Benguet), was invited to participate in the Career Guidance Program held at Kapangan National High School.
The activity gathered a total of 56 students, 11 of whom are Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) students under Carpentry, while the rest were Grade 12 HUMSS students. The program included a series of presentations and discussions on various career paths that can be pursued through Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs offered by TESDA and PTC Benguet. It also highlighted how vocational skills, such as carpentry, masonry, and driving, can lead to gainful employment or entrepreneurship, particularly for students interested in hard trade skills.
The career guidance of TESDA began with the presentation of Irvin Mabli, TESDS I of TESDA PO Benguet. He discussed in detail the TESDA Mandate, Director Generalโs Directives, and the different scholarships offered by TESDA. It was then followed by Audrey Magallis, Technical Assistant of PTC Benguet. She discussed the different registered training qualifications offered at PTC Benguet.
The insights shared will help students determine career options, develop skills, and plan their educational paths after graduation. Representatives from CHED, PESO, and DOST also participated, offering guidance on job opportunities and higher education programs.
Through efforts like this, TESDA continues to guide and inspire the youth to make informed career choices, pursue their passions, and build a future grounded in skills, purpose, and opportunity.
