On September 30, 2024, PTC Benguet conducted a site visit at the Senior Citizen Building in Tuding, Itogon, Benguet. It was led by Mr. Ferdinand Montaรฑez, the Center Administrator of PTC Benguet, alongside Mr. Martin Chavez Jr., the Barangay Captain of Tuding. The Senior Citizen Building will serve as the venue for the Masonry NC I training under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). Likewise, it will serve as the location for their project site.
This visit highlights the strong and growing partnership between PTC Benguet, the LGU of Itogon, Barangay Tuding, and the Senior Citizen Association; by collaborating on this initiative, these stakeholders are ensuring that the Masonry NC I scholars will not only gain valuable skills but also contribute to the community through their hands-on project at the Senior Citizen Building.
In addition to the site visit, a Training Induction Program (TIP) was conducted by Ms. Krisyl Quiriones and Mr. Ferdinand Montaรฑez. The TIP aimed to prepare the scholars ahead of the training and ensure they understand the responsibilities outlined in their Commitment of Undertaking (COU).
