On October 14, 2025, the TESDA Provincial Training Center – Benguet (PTC Benguet), together with the TESDA Provincial Office Benguet (TESDA PO Benguet), successfully conducted the Training Induction Program (TIP) for Carpentry NC II at BSU Bokod Campus, Benguet. The training, which runs from October 14 to December 5, 2025, welcomes 21 trainees from a diverse group of participants, including women, informal carpenters seeking formal certification, youth, and members of the Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ community, who are all determined to enhance their skills and improve their livelihood opportunities.

The program began with welcoming remarks from Ronel Simon, Instructor at BSU Bokod Campus, followed by the TIP spearheaded by Kyzer Lumbican, Technical Assistant of TESDA PO Benguet. Following this, Ferdinand Montaรฑez, Center Administrator of PTC Benguet, delivered an encouraging message to the trainees. He commended their enthusiasm for joining the Carpentry NC II training and reminded them that skills gained through TESDA are lifelong assets that can open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency.

The training is made possible with the partnership of BSU Bokod Campus and the Local Government Unit of Bokod. A training-cum-production will also be implemented, wherein the identified need of BSU Bokod Campus is the creation of cubicles or dividers in the teacherโ€™s room.

The TIP is a vital component of every TESDA training program as it ensures that the trainees clearly understand the skills and competencies they are expected to develop. Through initiatives like this, TESDA continues to uplift lives by equipping Filipinos with skills that build both confidence and community progress.
