The TESDA CAR, in partnership with the Department of Education CAR, formally opened the Training of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) / Special Program for Technical-Vocational Education (SPTVE) / Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track (TVL) Teachers on Training Methodology (TM) Level I – Batch 5 Series 2 on September 28, 2025, at the Conference Room, NEAP Building, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The training, which runs from September 28 to October 30, 2025, is being attended by 11 teachers from Alejo M. Pacalso National High School, Benguet National High School, Daclan National High School, Gov. Bado Dangwa Agro-Industrial School (GBDAIS), and Kapangan Central National High School. The training is facilitated by TESDA trainer Jubelle D. Wageyen.

TESDA Benguet Acting Provincial Director Arlene L. Cadalig graced the opening program, motivating the participants and encouraging them to undergo assessment after their training. She emphasized the importance of TM I assessment in strengthening their competence as educators and improving the quality of technical-vocational education delivery in schools. She also assured the teachers that TESDA Benguet is very open to assisting and responding to their queries as they pursue certification and continuous professional growth.

The partnership program aims to capacitate TLE/SPTVE/TVL teachers with the necessary skills in TM I, equip them to pass the TM I certification, and ultimately increase the passing rate of National Certificate (NC) passers through TM-certified teachers.
DepEd-CAR, in collaboration with TESDA-CAR, targets to train 629 TLE/SPTVE/TVL teachers across the region. Of this number, 207 have already completed their training, reflecting steady progress toward achieving the goal of ensuring that more teachers are certified to deliver quality technical and vocational education.
