TESDA-CAR Regional Office, headed by Regional Director Balmyrson M. Valdez and Assistant Regional Director Glenn N. Murphy, together with TESDA Abra Provincial Office, headed by Acting Provincial Director Belmar G. Angoling, took part in the 37th Cordillera Day Celebration, with the theme “Multiculturalism Towards Regional Autonomy and Development.” The event kicked off with a Cordillera Day Parade from the Abra Provincial Capitol Grounds to the Abra Sports Complex.
July 15, 2024, is declared a special non-working day in the Cordillera Administrative Region under Presidential Proclamation No. 589 s. 2024 by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., through Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin.
The traditional beating of the gongs symbolizes the strong call of the Autonomy Advocates for a Cordillera Autonomous Region. The momentous celebration was graced by President Marcos, duly represented by the Presidential Assistant for CAR, ASEC. Antonio Tabora, Jr.
The event concluded with a community dance led by Binibing Pilipinas International 2024 Myrna T. Esguerra, actively participated by RD Valdez, ARD Murphy, and APD Angoling.
