On August 11, 2025, TESDA-CAR Regional Director Balmyrson M. Valdez and TESDA Benguet Acting Provincial Director Arlene L. Cadalig paid a courtesy call to Benguet Governor Melchor D. Diclas at the Provincial Capitol, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.
RD Valdez presented TESDAโs key programs, including the Area-Based Demand Driven skills training, Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) program, scholarship offerings, and the assessment initiatives for Senior High School students and teachers. Discussions also focused on expanding skills training opportunities for Benguet constituents and strengthening collaboration for the provinceโs development.
Gov. Diclas expressed his appreciation for TESDAโs initiatives and conveyed his willingness to support projects for the betterment of Benguet. He also shared his commitment to improving the Benguet Technical School (BTS) as part of the provinceโs educational and skills development efforts.
PD Cadalig shared updates on the ongoing preparations for the Benguet Provincial Skills Competition (PSC) and extended an invitation to Governor Diclas to grace the upcoming World Cafรฉ of Opportunities (WCO). Both parties emphasized the value of partnership and camaraderie in achieving shared goals for the betterment and acceleration of the TVET sector in the province.
Also present were TESDA-CAR Administrative Officer V Lielanie Soriano, BTS Administrator Frezilla Simeon, and Benguet CTEC Julie Tabcao.
