On August 4, 2025, the TESDA Provincial Training Center (PTC) Benguet conducted a Training Induction Program (TIP) for Carpentry NC II in Lomon, Kapangan, Benguet under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). 20 trainees, mostly youth, including ALS graduates, returning OFWs, 4Ps beneficiaries, farmers, and women, officially began their training journey. This highlights TESDA’s commitment to inclusive and accessible technical education.

TWSP is a government scholarship program designed to provide immediate interventions to meet the demand for highly critical skills in key industries and to support employment and livelihood opportunities. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, not currently enrolled or employed, and must be high school graduates.

The training will run from August 6 to September 30, 2025, completing the 38 training days.

Ferdinand Montañez, Center Administrator of PTC Benguet, warmly welcomed the trainees and expressed his delight in seeing young individuals take an interest in acquiring life skills. He also encouraged them to embrace continuous learning and hoped to see all of them successfully complete the program.
