On January 30, 2026, the TESDA Provincial Training Center โ€“ Benguet (TESDA PTC Benguet), in partnership with the TESDA Provincial Office Benguet (TESDA PO Benguet), successfully facilitated the Competency Assessment for Bread and Pastry Production NC II. Remarkably, 15 candidates successfully passed their Competency Assessment and are now eligible to receive their National Certificate II. This serves as proof of their technical competence and their readiness to pursue better employment or livelihood pathways.

A Closing Program for the Community-Based Training in Bread Making and Cake Making, together with the Bread and Pastry Production NC II, was also held in Kapangan, Benguet, last January 26, 2026. The program opened with welcoming remarks from Ferdinand Montaรฑez, Center Administrator of TESDA PTC Benguet, followed by inspirational messages from Cleofe Hadsan, Social Work Officer III of LGU Kapangan; and on behalf of CTEC, Hon. Maribel Diclas, Municipal Councilor of LGU Kapangan representing the Sangguniang Bayan; and Janry Polon, a representative of the Municipal Mayor of Kapangan. Their messages encouraged trainees to turn their newly gained skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The graduates also shared heartfelt words of gratitude, citing how the training motivated them to start selling their homemade baked goods. One of them shared, โ€œAng laking tulong sa amin ng training na ito kasi nabigyan kami ng bagong pagkakakitaanโ€ a sentiment echoed by many graduates. Trainer Caroline Dimaano also shared her meaningful experiences and observations throughout the training. The closing program concluded with the awarding of training certificates and closing remarks from Priscilla Calde, Senior TESD Specialist of TESDA PTC Benguet.
