On February 20, 2025, 15 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) graduated from a three-day Bread Making training organized by BJMP Baguio City โ Male Dorm, in collaboration with TESDA-Benguet and PTC-Benguet. The training, which ran from February 18 to 20, 2025, took place in Abanao, Baguio City.


During the graduation, Acting Provincial Director of TESDA Benguet, Arlene L. Cadalig, discussed the details of the Bread and Pastry Production NC II training and assessment, emphasizing the competencies developed through the program. She congratulated the graduates and highlighted TESDA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of individuals from all backgrounds.
JCINSP John Wayland M. Lapon, City Warden, expressed his gratitude to TESDA for providing the opportunity to the PDLs, noting the positive impact the training had on their personal development. He also mentioned that they are looking forward to future training programs for the inmates.

TESDA Trainer Gwendolyn P. Seling guided the PDLs, equipping them with valuable skills in bread making.
The PDLs shared their appreciation for the training, stating that it laid the foundation for creating their own recipes and fostering teamwork.
BJMP Baguio City โ Male Dorm funded the consumable supplies, PTC-Benguet provided the bread and pastry production tools and equipment, and TESDA Benguet scouted the trainer and financed its honorarium.
