“Lighting the torch within, towards success”

TESDA-Mt. Province under the leadership of PD Glenn N. Murphy participated in the Career Guidance Culminating Program conducted by Sadanga National Technical Vocational and Skills Training high School on April 28, 2023.

Around 150 students from the Junior and Senior High School students joined the activity with a theme “Lighting the torch within, towards success”. Invited guests speakers from the PNP, TESDA, LGU-Sadanga spearheaded by Mayor Adolf Ganggangan and alumni of the alma mater were present to give their inspirational messages; shared thoughts; life’s experiences towards success and knowledge in relation to the career choice/path of the students.

TESDA-MP Career Guidance Advocacy Program (CGAP) focal, Ms. Whitney Keri M. Fokleg lectured on the Job Skills in Demand. She as well provided information on the programs and services of the agency in relation to the schools Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) tracks.

Different Technical Vocational Institutes (TVIs) and the TESDA Training Institute with its available TVET courses were presented. In addition, she encouraged the school, headed by Principal Arnel Kisofen to register their TVL tracks and let their students be assessed for them to be certified in such qualifications. This endeavor aims to encourage and give an insight to the students in deciding what course to pursue and undertake based on the demand of the growing labor market. WKMF
