Some TESDA Abra staffs and haircutters, partner TVIs – Mt. Carmel Agri Tourism and Training Center and Data Center College of the Philippines traversed the bumpy road bound to Ud-udiao Sallapadan on November 11, 2021 to join the Barangayanihan Caravan organized by Abra 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC). Said activity is in line with Duterte Legacy attended by some National Agencies
TESDA as one of the participating agencies have its program dissemination where in Provincial Director Jimmicio S. Daoaten promotes the qualifications offered by the different TESDA accredited training centers, emphasized the importance and advantages of having been trained under this training centers most especially to the employment factor not only locally but also abroad.
To showcase some skills, for the community to appreciate the offered skills training, free haircutting was offered to the people. Data Center have skills demo in cake making, icing/decorating. Mt. Carmel on the other hand demonstrated Process on Seedling Production. Finished products of the said demo like cupcakes was distributed to the community and seedling tray with tomato planted on it was brought home by the individual who had actual hands on to the said demo.
Further to maximize the travel, PD Daoaten visited Barangay Naguilian, one of the ELCAC Barangays of the province and distribute the last training support fund allowance for the trainees under Carpentry NC II. After the distribution of allowance, he met the trainees together with the Punong Barangay and discussed on matters that need to be addressed in making this project functional and with impact. As agreed during the discussion, the remaining funds allotted to the project will be used to procure additional supplies and materials but the trainees are task to do the labor for the infrastructure component to function as planned. Procurement of said supplies and materials will be done by the Provincial Office and be delivered to the Barangay.
