TESDA-Benguet, in partnership with the Municipality of Itogon, DTI-Negosyo Center-Itogon, and Barangay Ucab, conducted a one-day training entitled “Bubbles of Resilience: Training on Laundry Detergent, Dishwashing Liquid, and Fabric Conditioner Making for the Solo Parents Association of Barangay Ucab” on May 16, 2024.
Hon. Tony A. Pesase, Barangay Captain of Ucab, graced the event and extended a warm welcome to the guests and trainees.
Ms. Charity C. Magallis, TESDA-Benguet CBT Focal, extended the message of Acting Provincial Director Arlene L. Cadalig, conveying the commitment of TESDA to extend a helping hand through community-based training. She emphasized TESDA’s dedication to empowering communities by providing accessible and relevant skills training.
Engr. Michael G. Tauli, Livelihood Coordinator, stated that the training in the production of essential household items not only equips participants with valuable skills but also opens up potential avenues for income generation and self-sufficiency. He also expressed that it is heartening to see organizations like TESDA-Benguet, the Municipality of Itogon, DTI-Negosyo Center-Itogon, and Barangay Ucab coming together to support the solo parents in the community. Such collaborative efforts are crucial in fostering resilience and empowering local communities.
