The Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) received a certificate of recognition on April 8, 2024, from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Cordillera Administrative Region (BJMP – CAR) at the City Hall grounds.
This recognition underscores CSITE’s tireless support, dedication and commitment to providing skills training to the BJMP personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). The certificate was awarded by the Jail Superintendent April Rose Wandag-Ayangwa, accompanied by the City Vice Mayor Faustino A. Oloan and the City Councilors. The awarding took place after the Flag Raising Ceremony, highlighting the collaborative efforts of serving the marginalized community.
The event ended with a Zumba facilitated by BJMP personnel.
To date, a total of 129 were provided with skills training from January – March 2024. 105 were PDLs (44 males, 61 females) and 24 uniformed personnel (19 females, 5 males).
CSITE continues to make a positive impact on society by providing vital support and rehabilitation opportunities to the PDLs through the provision of various skills training programs.
