The TESDA–Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) marked its Founding Anniversary with a series of Friendship Games that brought together personnel in a celebration of unity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The activity formed part of the institute’s anniversary program aimed at strengthening camaraderie and promoting employee well-being alongside institutional milestones.

CSITE personnel were grouped into teams—Black, Blue, White, and Red—and participated in a variety of activities designed to encourage collaboration and friendly competition. Traditional larong lahi such as tug of war, sack race, baton relay, and ball toss were conducted alongside sports events including table tennis, volleyball, and basketball, ensuring broad participation across teams.

Beyond competition, the Friendship Games served as a venue for fostering positive relationships among employees. The activities promoted cooperation, mutual respect, and work-life balance, reinforcing the value of teamwork not only in sports but also in the workplace. Laughter, encouragement, and shared experiences defined the atmosphere throughout the event.

Scores from the different events were consolidated at the end of the games, with Team Red emerging as the Overall Champion, having garnered the highest combined score across both traditional and sports activities. While awards were given, the focus of the event remained on participation and collective enjoyment rather than competition alone.

The successful conduct of the Friendship Games underscored CSITE’s commitment to building a supportive and cohesive workforce. As the institute continues to advance quality technical-vocational education in the Cordillera Region, activities such as these reaffirm that strong teamwork and unity among personnel are essential to achieving its mission.
