TESDA-Mountain Province, under the leadership of Acting Provincial Director Melita D. Pinic attended the Unity Gong as part of the 37th Cordillera Month Celebration held the Gov. Leonard G. Mayaen Sports Complex, Jungle Town, Poblacion, Bontoc, Mt. Province on July 11, 2024.

This Unity Gong Relay is part of the annual Cordillera Month Celebration where a symbolic unity gong is travelled from each of the six (6) provinces of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) including its chartered city. This gong relay symbolizes unity and solidarity among Cordilleran ethnic groups. Further, it serves as an avenue for the ongoing quest for regional autonomy and a reminder of the collective aspirations of the Cordilleran people for greater control over their political, economic and cultural affairs. The event reinforces the call for unity in pursuing these goals and celebrating the achievements and milestones in the region’s journey towards autonomy.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Multiculturalism towards Regional Autonomy and Development”. //WKMF//
