Lagawe, Ifugao– Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) Ifugao started the year 2026 by unboxing a fresh collection of book donations at the campus library on January 7, 2026. This project was a collaboration with Give and Restore Hope Childrenโs Charity from Ontario, Canada. The goal of this partnership is to give trainees and personnel better access to global stories and help build a stronger culture of reading on campus.

The journey of these books began in September 2025 when the school requested novels and fiction from the charity through Ms. Gilda Maducdoc. After being shipped from Canada in October, the package traveled through the Port of Manila and arrived in Ifugao by bus on January 5, 2026. It took several months of planning and shipping to bring these resources to the library shelves.

This successful donation shows how international support can help improve local education. These new materials will provide trainees with more variety in their reading and help them develop a lifelong love for learning.
