Agee Docayso of the TESDA Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) brought pride to the Philippines after earning the Medallion for Excellence in the Cooking category at WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025.

His strong performance affirmed the competitiveness of Filipino talent in one of the event’s most demanding skill areas.

Docayso’s victory builds on his recent ASEAN Skills Competition championship and solidifies his status as a rising TVET achiever with the guidance of Expert Chef Mary Kristine Iris Pasion and Coach Joshua Lizardo. His win marks another milestone for the Philippines, showcasing the strength of its culinary training programs and further elevating the Cordillera region’s presence on the international stage.

In addition to Docayso’s accomplishment, the Philippine delegation delivered strong performances in several other skill areas. Hannah Krystelle Caintic secured a Silver Medal in Graphic Design Technology, while James Cavin Sayago also earned a Silver Medal in Electrical Installations. The team of Abraham Badar and Roneil Arriesgado added to the medal tally by winning Bronze in Mechatronics.

These achievements underscore the world-class capabilities of Filipino competitors and the continued growth of the country’s technical and vocational education and training sector.
