The Provincial Training Center (PTC) – Apayao underwent a technical compliance audit at Malama, Conner, Apayao last May 8 and 9 as part of the National Technical Audit 2024.This activity was carried out to gauge how well the Center adheres to TESDA standards and regulations for both Program Registration and Assessment and Certification.

For a two-day audit, the assigned auditors which came from TESDA Regional Office were able to examined the eight (8) programs registered under the UTPRAS (Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System) : Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II, Tile Setting NC II, Masonry NC I, Masonry NC II, Assembly Solar Night Light and Post Lamp, Organic Agriculture Production NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II.  The center’s corporate and administrative documents, circular requirements, faculty and personnel, academic rules, support services, and tools and equipment were scrutinously examine by the auditors. After a thorough inspection and interview, the audit resulted to only 1 minor non-compliance which is the Hilot trainer’s expired contract on the day of audit.

Likewise, the Center as an assessment center in Organic Agriculture Production NC II was also due for audit. The auditors strictly examined the center’s conduct of assessment methodologies, documentation and reporting and found out to be compliant on all audit aspects.

During the closing meeting  R.O auditors completed the activity by emphasizing the strengths and weaknesses of the aforementioned programs and highlighted other observations for improvement.

Meanwhile, PTC Administrator, Fidelia Y. Galvezo, shared her thoughts about the conducted technical audit to TESDA PTC-Apayao. She appreciated the auditors for doing such assessment for she believed that the audit results will improve the Center’s performances and delivery of services to the public. “It’s good that we are able to pinpoint now our non-compliances and areas for improvements so we can rectify before they escalate” she mentioned.

Furthermore, she vows to keep on being compliant with TESDA rules and regulations on the delivery of skills training and certification that would result in jobs or livelihood opportunities for fellow yApayaos.
