On May 7, 2026, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Conner, led by Mayor Atty. Jorico F. Bayaua and Vice Mayor Alexander M. Aswigue, together with the Sangguniang Bayan, successfully conducted a Serbisyo Caravan in Barangay Nabuangan, Conner, Apayao—one of the identified NTF-ELCAC barangays in the municipality.

The activity aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people, particularly residents of far-flung barangays with limited access to roads, healthcare facilities, and other government services. Through the Serbisyo Caravan, the LGU sought to ensure that no community is left behind in receiving basic assistance and public services.

Various services were offered during the caravan, including medical and dental services such as tooth extraction, fluoride application, free medical check-ups, free medicines, and free blood laboratory tests. Other services included free haircuts, distribution of second-hand clothing, RSBA, PhilHealth, Livebirth, and TESDA registrations, as well as rice distribution to local residents.

Several national and local line agencies actively participated by conducting Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns to promote their programs and services. Participating agencies included the Philippine National Police (PNP), Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company (APMFC), Municipal Police Station (MPS), 98th Infantry Battalion (98IB), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Department of Agriculture – CAR (DA-CAR), TESDA, Apayao State College (ASC), Conner District Hospital (CDH), and the Department of Education (DepEd).

The successful conduct of the Serbisyo Caravan reflects the LGU’s strong commitment to providing accessible, inclusive, and responsive public service to the people of Conner—especially those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
