Led by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)–Apayao, under the leadership of Provincial Director Engr. Glenn N. Murphy, the 2025 Provincial Skills Competition and Demonstration took place at BGV Jr. Gymnasium, Poblacion, Luna, Apayao on August 27, 2025.
Using a variety of local products of Apayao like coconut, passion fruit, santol, dragon fruit, bananas, avocado, squash, and carrots, competitors competed into three categories: cake making, pastry making, and bread making.
Competitor of A&G Training and Assessment Center’s Deseree Lingayo won first prize in the Cake Making Category, followed by Jamaica Dayag-an (PTC Apayao) in second place and Aprilyn Tabieros (ATC) in third place.
AIA Summer Lake and Training Center’s Liezel Lapueba won the gold medal in the Cake Making under Open Category, followed by Chester Ian Cabralda (ATC) for the silver award and Marlyn Crisologo (PTC) for the bronze award. .
Novie Paula Domingo (ATC) and Rumy Tabling (PTC) took silver and Bronze in the Pastry making Category, while Emelyn Valencia (A&G) won first place.
Zaira Bula-ay (A&G) won first place in the Bread Making Category, followed by Roxanne Retuta (ATC) and Rovelyn Rivera (PTC) for the second and third place.
Glo Marie Rose Ignacio-Almazan led the tournament as its chairman, and the board of judges included Felicidad Vicerra, Dawn Garde, Mitchie Ann Lacambra, and Daisy Quimoyog. Led by Engr. Murphy, ATC OIC Jerome Lacambra, and DOLE Head Jane Adalan presented the awards.
There was also a skills demonstration from PTC–Apayao for the Assembly of Solar Night Light and Post Lamp and from ATC for Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II.

Additionally, TESDA also provided free services such as massage, haircuts, manicures, pedicures for participants and visitors.
