TESDA Benguet proudly participated in the Information Technology Month 2026 celebration of Benguet State University (BSU) on February 9, 2026, held at the BSU College of Information Sciences (CIS) Building, La Trinidad, Benguet.
With the theme “BSIT in Digital Bayanihan: Innovating Today, Empowering Tomorrow,” the event was organized by the Body of Young Technologists (BYTe), the official student organization of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The whole-day celebration featured hands-on workshops, interactive experiential learning activities, technology showcases, competitions, and tournaments aimed at strengthening students’ digital competencies.
As a partner agency, TESDA Benguet, together with the Cordillera School of Digital Arts and Trades (CSDA), showcased practical projects, digital initiatives, and real-world solutions in hardware and networking. The participation emphasized hands-on demonstrations and experiential learning, allowing students to directly engage with industry-relevant digital technologies and practices.
Niño Jose B. Seriosa, CSDA Director, discussed the importance of digital skills, smart solutions, and smart products, while introducing CSDA projects, successful animation initiatives, and the TESDA Computer Systems Servicing (CSS) NC II program to 68 BSU ICT students. Skills opportunities and pathways for skills development under TESDA programs were also highlighted to encourage students to pursue further technical training and certification.
Led by the BYTe, the event reinforced the spirit of Digital Bayanihan, strengthening collaboration between education, industry, and government in empowering future IT professionals and advancing a digitally inclusive nation.
