La Trinidad, Benguet- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) distributed starter toolkits to the 29 scholars of TESDA under the Bread and Pastry Production program.

Of the 29 scholars, 21 were from Cordillera Quest (CQ) and the 8 scholars were from Benguet Technical School (BTS).

The activity was conducted during the launching of the Duterte Legacy: “Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery” at the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) Masigasig Grandstand Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 30, 2021.

During an interview with PIA CAR, RD Dante J. Navarro said that TESDA CAR will continue delivering its services through the battlecry “TESDA Abot Lahat” amid the pandemic.“

TESDA is ready to help our countrymen here in the Cordillera especially in providing them tech-voc knowledge. The toolkits distributed to the TESDA graduates will help them start their livelihood,” he added.

RD Navarro also explained that TESDA offers more courses in Construction, Agriculture, Tourism, ICT, etc.

“As announced earlier the Duterte Legacy was able to produce more than 200,000 TESDA scholars who have graduated from TESDA Cordillera who may already be working here and abroad,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) distributed 32 food packs to the TESDA graduates who are present during the event. (TESDA CAR)

PCOO Office of Global Media and Public Affairs Assistant Secretary JV Arcena said that the caravan generally aims to bring the “Barangay” at “Bayan” or the government and the communities to work together towards the recovery of the country from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arcena led the launching of the #DuterteLegacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery at the Camp Bado Dangwa, la Trinidad, Benguet earlier today, 30 September 2021.

The campaign also aims to inform the people of the accomplishments and the programs that the government is implementing towards the goal of ensuring a comfortable life for all Filipinos. (PIA CAR)
