The Special Training Employment Program (STEP) is a community based program that will address the specific skills needs of the communities and promote employment, particularly through entrepreneurial, self employment and service oriented activities. Training programs are generally short term and shall use the cluster of competences prescribed in the Training Regulations promulgated by TESDA, whenever applicable. Among the benefits of a STEP scholar are free training cost, assessment fee, daily allowance and starter toolkits.
A total of 90 scholars received their 2019 STEP toolkits at Mabaay, Bauko, Mountain Province on February 15, 2021.The starter toolkits distribution is being scheduled per area due to national health situation. Dr. Alvin L. Yturralde, the Provincial Director of TESDA-Mountain Province and Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog Jr. graced the activity for the awarding of STEP Starter Toolkits.
