TESDA-Mt. Province conducts an Organizational Meeting on July, 24,2024 at Chico Breeze Hall, Bontoc, Mt. Province. The meeting was attended by the Community Training and Employment Coordinators (CTECs), Trainers and Assessors, Technical Vocational Institutions Administrators and staff and staff from the CSITE-Mt. Province Campus.

APD Melita D. Pinic warmly welcomed the participants wherein she highlighted the significance of the meeting in aligning the agency’s goals with national development objectives.

Part of the agenda was the discussion of the upcoming World Café of Opportunities (WCO), a significant event aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for TESDA graduates and promoting industry partnerships. Ms. Whitney Keri M. Fokleg, Provincial WCO focal underscored the importance of the WCO in bridging the gap between TESDA graduates and potential employers who will be joining the activity. She emphasized that the event would serve as a platform for interested individuals to enroll in all available registered programs in the province and to showcase the skills and competencies of TESDA graduates while fostering partnerships with industries. She then encouraged all the participants to remain dedicated to its success in delivering a well-organized and impactful event to all the participating agencies and constituents.

Ms. Christine M. Oliquiano, Community-Based Training Focal presented the “TESDA sa Barangay” Program, which aims to bring Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) closer to the communities at the grassroots level, including various components such as skills training, competency assessment and certification and livelihood support through collaboration with the Local Government Units. Further, she presented the requirements for the recognition of community-based trainers.

Ms. Noralin K. Salupen, Assessment and Certification (CAC) focal, gave an overview of the requirements for the renewal of National Certificates (NC), Accreditation of Assessors, National TVET Trainers Certificate (NTTC) and reminders in the conduct of CAC.

As a highlight of the meeting, the election of officers (Trainers and Assessors) and crafting of the Association Name was facilitated by Mr. Rexton D. Pagosto, wherein APD Pinic conducted the induction of the newly elected officers of the Mountain Province Association of Competency Assessors and TVET Trainers (MPACATT). //WKMF//
