The Local School Board (LSB) of Bontoc convened for its seventh regular meeting for the year 2025 on July 29 at the Mayor’s Conference Hall of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, to discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen the educational sector in the municipality.

During the presentation of reports, TESDA Mountain Province Provincial Director Felixberto B. Matute Jr. reported that 41 Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL) teachers underwent assessment for Trainers Methodology Level I, COC 2 (Conduct Competency Assessment), with 29 successfully earning certifications after meeting the required competencies. In addition, 387 Senior High School learners were assessed, of whom 339 were certified across various qualification

Recognizing education as a continuing priority, the Bontoc LGU—through the Local School Board—reaffirmed its strong commitment to enhancing support systems for teachers, learners, and schools throughout the municipality.
