A total of 32 trainers from the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) in the Province of Apayao attended the 3-day training from September 12-14, 2023 at Flora Clubhouse in Bagutong, Flora, Apayao.

The facilitators for the event were Mr. Benedicto A. Biato, who is a Supervising TESD Specialist from TESDA Apayao, and Mr. Gregg Y. Bagtang, a Senior TESD Specialist from the Provincial Training Center-Apayao. Both facilitators were from the TESDA -Apayao. The facilitators received support from other trainers who had previously finished the 21st century skills training provided by Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs).

The opening program was attended by the Mayor of Flora, Honorable Rodolfo B. Juan Sr.  who warmly greeted the participants and generously provided the Flora Clubhouse in Bagutong, Flora, Apayao as the location for the training.

The main objective of the training was to equip the trainers with the necessary skills to be work-ready, globally competitive, green economy workers who possess 21st Century Skills. These skills encompass a wide range of essential knowledge, skills, work habits, and character traits that are crucial for achieving success in today’s world, particularly in contemporary careers and workplaces.

During the closing program, Director Glenn N. Murphy emphasized that the trainers now have additional competencies to tackle the challenges of the dynamic learning environment. They have gained insights into 21st Century Skills for success and life skills for workplace survival, which they can pass on to their trainees.
