Transplanting is one method of crop establishment being practiced by farmers or crop producers. This is the technique of moving a plant from one location to another usually from the nursery/ seedbed  or bags to the field. This is done mainly to protect the plant or seedlings from pest or diseases until they are sufficiently established, Compared to direct seeding, the life span of the plants is extended and germination problems are reduced,

Before transplanting, hills are prepared to ensure the availability of proper nutrients and loose soil for proper aeration,Plants currently available for transplanting are pechay, tomatoes, chillies, ginger, turmeric and eggplants.
