About Us

The Cordillera Administrative Region was created through Executive Order No. 220 on July 15, 1987. Following this turn of event in history was the establishment of government offices in the region, including the National Manpower and Youth Council, which eventually named the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in 1994 by virtue of Republic Act 7796.

           In support to “TESDA Abot Lahat” thrust of the agency to reach and serve new partners and clients with a clear objective of transforming and improving lives, flexible policies, processes and procedures in the registration of programs for the Provincial Training Centers (PTCs). (Memo 382 S.2019) September 10, 2019.  

           The designation of Provisional Training Teams for Provinces without PTC’s Center. (TESDA Order 644. S. 2019). September 13, 2019

           In the interest of the service and in support to the thrust of the Agency to reach out and serve new and more partners and clients focusing on the transformation and improvement of lives, the establishment of Reginal/Provincial district training centers throughout the country is hereby directed

The TESDA-Benguet is located within the Municipality of La Trinidad Benguet. One of the Provincial Office that don’t have a Training Center.

           On September 2020, the Provincial Training Center became operational with four (4) programs offered, namely Carpentry NC II, Masonry NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II and Organic Agriculture Production NC II

 In October 2020, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the PTC, and the Local Government of La Trinidad allotting a lot and a budget of Five Hundred Eighty Six Thousand (P 586,000.00) for the construction of a One story Lecture Room. 

           In August of the same year, the PTC was granted the approval of eight (8) plantilla position with eight employees.

List of Programs in PTC-Benguet

Bread and Pastry Production NC II

141 HOURS

Consists of competencies that person must achieve to be able to clean equipment , tools and

utensils and prepare, portion and plate pastries, breads and other dessert items

to guests in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury

lines/cruises and other related operations.

Carpentry NC II

301 HOURS

Consists of competencies on rough and finishing carpentry that a person must achieve in fabrication and installation of wooden materials and basic roof assembly.

Masonry NC II

253 HOURS

Consists of competencies on rough and finishing carpentry that a person must achieve in fabrication and installation of wooden materials and basic roof assembly.

Masonry NC I

123 HOURS

Consists of competencies that a person must achieve that will enable him/her to prepare masonry materials, tools and equipment and perform basic masonry works.

Organic Agriculture Production NC II

232 HOURS

Consists of competencies that a person must achieve to produce organic farm products such as chicken and vegetables including producing of organic supplements such as fertilizer, concoctions and extracts. It has two (2) elective competencies which are on Raising Organic Hogs and Raising Organic Small Ruminants.

Contact Tracing Level II

120 HOURS

Consist of knowledge, competencies and attitude that a peson must achieve to conduct profiling of contacts and follow-up, conduct referral to health facility, quarantine facility and other relevant agencies, conduct health education programs, perform data recording and reporting, and conduct monitoring surveillance.

DRIVING NC II

118 HOURS

Consists of competencies that a person must achieve to operate light motor vehicles classified under LTO Restriction code 1 and 2; transport passengers and loads over specified routes to local or district location and collect fare duly authorized by the relevant government agency; comply with local traffic rules and regulations and perform minor vehicle repairs and other minor servicing.
