On January 31, 2023, TESDA – Mountain Province held simultaneous closing and graduation ceremony of the province’s constituents who have undergone various skills training under the Community Based Training Program (CBT) of the agency.

25 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) were awarded with Driving NCII, 19 with Masonry NCI while 18 individuals from the said sector were given Certificates of Training on Ice Cream Making.

Mountain Province District Jail, JINSP John S. Melecio extended his gratitude to TESDA – MPPO and the Provincial Government of Mountain Province for the unending support given to the PDLs thru provision of skills training which they can use for future employment opportunities upon their release from the facility.

Meanwhile, 58 constituents were recognized on the same day, as they completed the 80 hours training for the Basic Backhoe Operations last December 2022.

TESDA CAR OIC-Regional Director, Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr. represented by the OIC-ROD Chief, Susana G. Carbonell said that the bigger challenge after the completion of the trainings will be the application of what the participants have learned in TESDA whether becoming an employee or an employer in the future.

Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr., in his message highlighted the continuous advocacy and commitment of the PLGU to the Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET) in the province.

TESDA – MPPO Provincial Director, Engr. Glenn N. Murphy congratulated the graduates and expressed his appreciation towards the PLGU – Mountain Province for the continuous support and assistance given to the agency in the implementation of CBT programs in the different municipalities of the province.

Further, Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli and Board Member Joshua Fronda shared their words of encouragement to the graduates.

On the other hand, 45 scholars in Organic Agriculture Coffee Production of Ola Farms attended the graduation ceremony on January 19, 2023 at Aguid, Sagada, Mt. Province. Said trainees were benefeciaries of the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP).

Present to grace and witness the ceremony were Sagada Mayor Felicito O. Dula, TESDA representatives, Ms. Whitney Keri M. Fokleg and Ms. Noralin K. Salupen. (WKMF)
