TESDA-Mt. Province alongside various line agencies, attended the “A Balik Loob of Mountain Province (BLOMP) Initiated Peace and Unity Walk and Talks” held on March 26, 2024 at Bontoc, Mt. Province.
In response to the government’s endeavor to foster peace and reconciliation, national and local line agencies convened after the unity walk to embark on a comprehensive advocacy campaign to promote government programs and services to support Former Rebels (FR) reintegration into society. It served as an avenue to engage former combatants and relevant stakeholders to raise awareness and gain support for its aim to end the local communist armed conflict through the whole-of-nation approach.
Ms. Noralin K. Salupen, representing the Provincial Office, promoted its programs and services available for the FRs, underlining skills training to empower and equip them with the necessary skills for employment.
BLOMP is a group composed of former CPP-NDF-NPA cadres in the Cordillera Region. //WKMF//
