On March 19, 2024, 89 graduates received toolkits to help them learn and grow in various technical skills at the Provincial Training Center in Malama, Conner, Apayao.

This awarding ceremony was in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Office of Apayao, Provincial Training Center-Apayao (PTC) and Apayao Training Center (ATC).

The starter toolkit was distributed to the Tile Setting NC II, Masonry NC I and Electrical Installation Maintenance (EIM) NC II graduates under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). The toolkits were composed of the flat and pointed shovel, spirit lever bar, crowbar, chalk line reel, pull-push rule and claw hammer for Masonry NC I, cordless drill for EIM NC II and manual tile cutter, pull-push rule, spirit lever bar, rubber mallet and angle grinder for Tile Setting NC II.

Looking ahead, TESDA PTC-Apayao remains dedicated to supporting participants every step of the way, providing not just training but also tools.

This initiative, funded by Congresswoman Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, offers participants free training and assessments. It also provides training support funds, starter toolkits and an entrepreneurial program.

As the distribution process unfolds, it becomes clear that these starter toolkits are more than just physical objects. They are instruments of transformation, paving the way for a brighter future for those who dare to dream.
