On March 14, 2024, at Upper Tambingan, Sabangan, Mountain Province, the learners and the trainers in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I and Construction Painting NC II helped in the restoration efforts of the community for the two family houses razed on March 13, 2024, due to an unfortunate incident that occurred during midday.
Quick response from the community and the arrival of the Bureau of Fire Protection Sabangan saved the third house from a fire caused by a short circuit in one of the houses.
Time and again, the Bayanihan spirit, a traditional lgorot culture, prevailed. Support poured in from the rest of the Sabangan community. The TESDA-CSITE Mt. Province Campus donated fifteen (15) cement bags to each affected family. The learners helped haul construction materials to the site. Additionally, close relatives of the victims submitted a written request to the Campus for the fabrication of steel windows for the affected homes.
