TESDA Benguet facilitates five-day Community-Based Training in Dressmaking for members of the Baguio Islamic Cordillera Women’s Association (BICSWA), led by their president Caridad K. Butad. The opening ceremony was held at the Musallah Assalam, Old Lucban, Happy Holmes Brgy., Baguio City on February 18, 2024.
The training aims to capacitate the association members in making garments for women, providing a chance for the association to learn skills for profit through entrepreneurship. The training also aims to increase the number of professional dressmakers/tailors in Benguet.
Mr. Irvin Mabli, of TESDA Benguet, attends the opening ceremony with Ms. Priscilla Calde, Senior TESD Specialist of Provincial Training Center – Benguet. Mr. Alberto Ampaguey shall be the trainer for this 5-day training.
Acting Provincial Director Arlene L. Cadalig visits the training venue with PTC-Benguet Center Administrator Ferdinand B. Montaรฑez on the second day of training to monitor the progress of the trainees.
