TESDA Abra Provincial Office led by PD John B. Adawey coordinated with DOLE Abra Field Office Officer-In-Charge, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, Mr. Christopher B. Tugadi last October 17, 2022 regarding the implementation of the Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) 001 series of 2022 of TESDA and DOLE to facilitate the employment and training of victims of the magnitude 7 earthquake that affected most of Northern Luzon on July 27, 2022.
To ensure the implementation of the said Joint Memo, PD Adawey and OIC Tugadi together with their concerned staff visited the TESDA Abra Provincial Training Center Lagangilang Annex and had a courtesy call with the Local Chief Executive of Lagangilang, Hon. Ruvelyn E. Villamor for the upcoming activities of TESDA and DOLE in the municipality. Hon. Villamor thanked TESDA and DOLE for giving its constituents the opportunity to be skilled in various qualifications and participation in the TUPAD program which will be a great help for the recovery of the affected individuals due to the earthquake.
Both agencies will intensify the implementation of DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers specifically to the Province of Abra. The said training will cover various qualifications like Masonry NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, and Carpentry NC II to be implemented by the Provincial Training Center of Abra, on the other hand, CSITE Main Campus will also provide Bread Making and pastry Making training programs leading to Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
