Bontoc, Mt. Province – TESDA – Mt. Province thru the initiative of its Provincial Director, Eng. Glenn N. Murphy conducted the 1st Quarter Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Conference on February 21, 2023.

Ms. Christine M. Oliquiaño, the Community-Based Training (CBT) and CTEC focal recognized the roles and responsibilities of the CTEC in the implementation and facilitation of the CBT programs in every community. She underlined the significance of the body in identifying the skills needs of their proponents and identification of recipients to such programs.

Meanwhile, PD Murphy discussed the devolution of TESDA’s training functions to the local government units. He assured the possible technical assistance which will be provided by TESDA in the establishment, equipping and capacitating the CTEC and trainers who will be administering the training programs to be registered.

Part of the conference is the organization of the Provincial CTEC association wherein Murphy facilitated the induction of the elected officers of the “CTEC Association of the Mountain Province”. (WKMF)
