The TESDA Provincial Training Center-Apayao conducts training in Masonry NC I composed of 25 pax under Special Training and Employment Program Scholarship which started last December 22, 2023 and will end on January 23, 2024.

For the continuous improvement of the said training center building. The construction of the walls for the “mumty” or stairs canopy of the training building is constructed by the ongoing learners in Masonry NC I under the training-cum-production scheme.

This training program, offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Provincial Training Center – Apayao provides a unique and valuable opportunity for out of school youths to not only learn the theoretical aspects of masonry but also gain hands-on experience through simulated industry practice scheme.

This training cum production has been meticulously designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of masonry works, such as excavation and backfilling, rebar fixing, formworks, concrete pouring and hollow block laying.

Under the guidance of Mr. Gregg Y. Bagtang, an experienced trainer in Masonry, learners delve into the complexities of masonry techniques and industry standards. What sets this program apart is its emphasis on practicality.

Through his guidance and supervision, trainees develop a deeper understanding of the different competencies of Masonry and its application. This collaborative learning environment fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the participants.

This training aids the development of the said building and will ensure that the Provincial Training Center – Apayao will set to offer more opportunities in skills training, livelihood and employment in the Province.

Furthermore, The Provincial Training Center – Apayao encourages participants to gain additional skills certifications and qualifications offered by TESDA, helping them expand their capabilities to increase their marketability in the industry.
