TESDA – Mt. Province, in collaboration with the MLGU-Bontoc conducts skills training in Perform Manicure and pedicure at barangay Maligcong, Bontoc, Mt. Province from January 29 to February 2, 2024.

Twenty (20) constituents consisting of learners under the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and Indigenous People (IP) joined the said training under the TESDA sa Barangay Program of the agency with the guidance of Mr. George D. Apolinar, a tapped trainer in the said competency. The training was aligned with the ALS K-12 Curriculum which incorporates Learning Strand 4, focusing on Life and Career Skills. It also encompasses productivity and utilization of work-related skills, knowledge, and values to optimize the efficiency and performance as productive citizens of the community.

This initiative set forth by the agency aims to extend the reach and delivery of Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET) to the barangays to improve the accessibility of quality tech-voc training programs. In addition, it strengthens partnerships between constituents and stakeholders in the delivery of TVET in the province. //WKMF//
